Motorcycle Licence Time Reduction Course

Reduce your restricted license timeframe by attending a Street Talk course.

Street Talk is a New Zealand Transport Agency Approved course in advanced riding and driving skills.

Successful completion of this course allows you to reduce your Restricted licence period by 6 months if you are under the age of 25, or by 3 months if you are over the age of 25. If you are under 25 yrs of age you must have held your Class 1 or 6 Restricted Licence for at least six months prior to enrolling in the Street Talk Course.

If you are over 25 yrs of age you may enroll in the Street Talk Course as soon as you have your Class 1 or 6 Restricted Licence.

In Wellington, Roadsafe provide the practical component of this course run in conjunction with a New Zealand Transport Agency approved Street Talk provider.

In Nelson, Roadsafe provide the complete Street Talk course including the theory and practical component.
